As a result of SEC rule changes, a revised version of Form PF will become effective on March 12, 2025.
FINRA is publishing an early draft version of the revised Form PF Section 1-4 schema for filers who upload Form PF as an XML file. Additional schema updates are currently in process to add allowed values and other items missing from this initial draft.
Here’s what’s new:
📊 Master-Feeder & Parallel Fund Structures
🔍 Separate reporting for each component fund, enhancing clarity and accuracy.
💼 Fund of Funds Reporting
✔️ Advisers must now include private fund investments when determining thresholds.
📈 Trading Vehicles
🔗 More accurate aggregated reporting required for trading vehicles.
🗓️ Reporting Timelines
🕒 Quarterly filings now aligned with calendar quarters for consistency.
These changes also include enhanced hedge fund reporting, removal of certain burdensome questions, and provide greater insights into private fund operations to reduce systemic risk.
Fund XP will update its solution to align with the upcoming Form PF changes.
